The National Institute of Public Health in Japan is a government research organization charged with carrying out education and training of personnel engaging in public health, enviornmental hygiene and social welfare, and to conduct research in these areas.
The HIVE Consortium will be working with Dr Yasuhiro Ishimine who will work with us to advise on current advice offered and how the findings of this study may feed into future guidelines and advice.
The HIVE Consortium will be working with various Indonesian agencies involved in advice giving during volcanic eruptions, such as:

We are undertaking research into the effectiveness of a range of respiratory protection worn by communities during volcanic eruptions.
